It may be challenging at times to find that perfect home accent or piece of framed art to match existing decor or coordinate with a new look.  Why not have one last finishing touch that will bring everything together by getting a custom piece designed?

There are a variety of items featured here.  One of the newest, is the holiday advent calendar.  First, a digital layout was created based on the original sketch; I continued by, using foam-core, mesh sheeting and empty Keurig disposable coffee pods.  The result is this super modern advent calendar that kids adore. This can be produced in any color combination and will add a fresh chic pop to traditional holiday decor.

Framing existing prints or custom pieces I've designed is one of the best ways to give a room real personality.  I have refinished ceiling fans, glass vases (as shown on the previous page), created curtain tie-backs using woven hemp, screws, washers and marbles and even designed and installed a custom tile mosaic (also featured on the previous page).

Upcycling is all the rage and I have no doubt that there is an item laying around that you know has potential; so...lets chat about some unique refinishing ideas.

I'm always up for a challenge! I love taking furniture or accents pieces that have a few flaws and transforming them into a completely new piece.

An example is this modern mirror.  I found this at a local store on discount due to the giant chunks of missing wood framing the mirror.  Originally, this had a nautical antique finish and looked pretty beat up - I would not have hung it on my wall. I addressed the imperfections by first sanding and priming, I then painted and finally added the stainless steel tiles hiding the missing pieces of wood.  Lastly, I added some BB's, which give an almost bead like appearance as an accent.
