Early on as I began to show an interest in the arts, I would doodle and sketch random designs.  Many of the following mixed media drawings are over a decade old; however, each time I pull them from my portfolio, I’m reminded of my style.  There has been a growth no doubt in my technique, but some of those early skills are still evident in the painted furniture and gift items of today.

There is a joy that comes from jotting down an idea and then getting an urge to transform that disposable sketch into a completed piece. Can I draw a portrait in pen and ink or lead? Sure.  Is that the type of the drawing that brings me the most satisfaction? Not really.
